Spearmint Herbal Tea
Despite its name morning sickness can occur at any time during the day or night, whilst the exact cause still remains unknown it is believed to be the sign of a healthy pregnancy. Which of course is no comfort to the many women who experience this, in fact it’s believed that 80% of pregnant women experience morning sickness and whilst unpleasant is not considered serious in the majority of cases. It’s most common from the 4th week of pregnancy to around the 16th week in most cases although some women may experience some level of sickness throughout their entire pregnancy.
Herbal remedies are a safe and natural way of relieving the nausea of morning sickness.
INGREDIENTS
15g (1 tablespoon) - Spearmint (Mentha Spicata)
7g (1 teaspoon) - Cloves (Syzygium Aromaticum)
7g (1 teaspoon) - Turkey Rhubarb Powder (Rheum Palmatum)
7g (1 teaspoon) - Cinnamon (Cinnamomum Zeylanicum)
INSTRUCTIONS
Add the Cloves, Turkey Rhubarb and Cinnamon in a pint of boiling water.
Simmer for about 5 minutes.
Add the Spearmint.
Cover and leave to infuse until cool.
Strain the liquid.
Bottle and store in a cool place.
DOSAGE
Take 2 tablespoons every 30 minutes until the nausea passes.
